It's the first impression that counts for your future employer
- Personalize your letter; include the name and title of the person you are sending it to
- Be brief and to the point
- Do not repeat the content of your résumé
- The first paragraph must attract the reader's attention
- The letter must be brief, but neither be too short or too long
- Express your interest in the position and why they should see you for an interview
- It must include your main accomplishments
- Use the same writing style and font as for your résumé
- Include your telephone number and email address where you can be reach easily
- Make your self available for an interview
- Finish your letter on a positive note. For example: Looking forward to meeting you to discuss a future position with (name of the Company)
